Chili Pork Tofu (Ma Po Tofu)

1 block tofu, cut into 1/2″ cubes

2 tablespoons oil

1/4 pound pork hash or ground chicken or turkey

1/8 cup dried shrimp, soaked

Broth Mixture Ingredients:

1/2 cup chicken broth

1 teaspoon chili garlic sauce (substitute: chili pepper)

Cornstarch Mixture Ingredients:

2 tablespoons cornstarch

2 tablespoons water

2 tablespoons shoyu

1 tablespoon oyster sauce

1 teaspoon Hawaiian salt

Garnish Ingredients:

green onions, finely chopped

Chinese parsley, chopped



Heat oil.

Saute meat and dried shrimp.

Add broth and bring to boil.  Simmer covered for 5 minutes.

Add tofu.  Stir lightly until tofu is well-heated.

Thicken with cornstarch mixture.

Garnish with green onions and Chinese parsley.
